Men's Fall Retreat 2018 - Crown up, Knees Down: Praying Like a King!
September 21st - September 23rd, 2018
Men: Plan now to attend the Men’s Fall Retreat Friday evening through Sunday noon, September 21-23, 2018 at the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center in New Hampshire.
ABOUT THE RETREAT...
Last year, we joyfully discovered that we are God's image bearers who rule the world under God's direction. This year we will build on the idea of living crown up, not crown down, by exploring: Crown up, Knees Down: Praying Like a King! Our knees may be artificial or weak but our prayers are to be real and powerful because God works through his rulers. Theologian John Goldingay writes: "Human beings were created in order to facilitate the creation's coming to completion as the world God intended" (Biblical Theology). Time to pray, gentlemen!
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US...
On this retreat, you will experience great teaching, small group discussion that is honest and open, worship that is simple yet God-exalting, and fellowship with other brothers who are looking for the same thing you are—a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. There will also be an opportunity to go hiking, hanging out talking with other guys, or just relaxing with a good book for a couple of hours. So, make the time to join us for the time of your life!
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER...
Dan Szatkowski is back for a second year as our retreat speaker. He is Pastor of the Cambridgeport Baptist Church. Since 2000, Dan has sought to make this a church known as a community of believers who are seeking to grow as followers of Jesus, learning to love God and their neighbors by the power of the Holy Spirit, and helping others do the same. Dan and his wife Kathy have eight children and three grandchildren. They have lived in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston since 1986.
Registration cost is $130.00 (three to a room) or $200 for a single room (limited number available). Scholarship money is available. For more details, contact David Rox at firstname.lastname@example.org; or 978-867-4369.
